Airguard, built to a specification you define.

We take on scoped engineering work for government, enterprise and research programs — hardened device variants, tailored firmware and platform development, hosting in your own infrastructure, and special-batch manufacturing.

The standard device

The Airguard you can buy today is engineered, tested and certified for the conditions skydiving puts it through. For that use, nothing on this page is necessary.

Special Projects exists for a narrower case: when an organization’s requirements are written before the hardware is chosen, and the hardware has to meet them. The driver is your specification, not a gap in ours.

What can be specified

Device and hardware

Environmental hardening

Ingress and immersion protection, extended operating and storage temperature range, condensation and salt exposure, shock and vibration tolerance — specified against the conditions you operate in.

Enclosure and mounting

Alternative housing materials and finishes, custom mounting interfaces, and fixings suited to equipment other than a skydiving harness.

Power

Extended-capacity cells, alternative cell chemistries for temperature range or storage life, field-replaceable packs, and external or vehicle power feeds.

Connectivity

Region-specific cellular bands, alternative or additional radio bearers, and configurations for private or dedicated networks.

Software and platform

The device is one part of a deployment. Firmware behaviour, the platform around it, and where that platform runs can all be specified alongside the hardware.

Firmware tuning

Logging rates, detection thresholds and alert logic tuned to your deployment profile, along with power and reporting behaviour matched to how the devices are actually used.

Platform development and integration

Development work scoped to your requirement — additional features, reporting and exports built to your format, and integration with the systems your organization already runs, through our API or an interface built for the purpose.

Hosting and data residency

Deployment into your own infrastructure or a private environment under your control, with data residency, tenant isolation, retention policy, and access control integrated with your existing directory agreed as part of the engagement.

Qualification and documentation

Test and qualification programs run against the standards named in your requirement — hardware, software or both — with the resulting evidence and documentation supplied for your review.

How an engagement works

  1. Requirements review

    You send the specification. We say plainly what is already met, what is achievable, and what is not.

  2. Engineering assessment

    A scoped proposal covering design changes, qualification work, quantities and cost.

  3. Validation

    We build and test against the agreed specification, and share the evidence.

  4. Special-batch production

    Manufacture and delivery to the agreed schedule.

Special-batch manufacturing lead times start at three months from an agreed specification. Scope, qualification requirements and quantity determine the final schedule, which we confirm in writing before any commitment.
